The Advent season begins this year on November 28th, the Fourth Sunday before Christmas. The tradition surrounding the observance of Advent is to light a candle and share Scripture readings for each Sunday, reflecting on the content and discussing for a moment what it means to make room for God to come. The Watchwords for the four Sundays of Advent are WAIT (or HOPE), PREPARE, JOY (or REJOICE) & LOVE.
To help you and your family observe the waiting season while we watch for Christ’s coming I’ve made some ADVENT SCRIPTURE CARDS that can be printed on card stock, cut out and kept close to your Advent wreath. Each card has the word for each Sunday, Scripture readings and Bible person for each week.
Cards with just the words themselves can be downloaded HERE. They are in plain text (pictured) and a fancy schmancy font if you’d like. I printed mine out on cardstock, mounted on dark blue and placed them around my ‘wreath.’
